IEEE 1451.5.x Smart Transducer Interface Standard

IoTLab CityU took part in the development of IEEE P1451.X, a standard for the use of Transducer Electronic Data Sheet on smart transducer over wireless technologies including Lora (.5), Sigfox (.6), and NB-IoT (.10). This standardized interface framework enables the interoperability between technologies and devices, and plug-and-play for simplicity of system implementation.

Thomas was in charge of surveying, prototyping of the framework on LoRa and Sigfox, and the early drafting of the P1451.5.6 documentation for Sigfox.
